Kimera Whippets is based in Northern California. Kim lives in Grass Valley and I in Santa Clara.

My first whippet was when I was around 7 years old a lovely fawn and white bitch we called Becca. In fact she was my mothers dog. When I became able to support and have a dog of my own in college I adopted a 'used' 5 year old girl I called Sophie . The came Kara (Mariel's Palmeridge Ole Miss) at Veterinary school. I need to add Kara was the most perfect dog in the world and sang for bikkies. Kara passed away from cancer.

It was not until I had to let Sophie go in 1998 that I decided to get a new whippet (puppy). I ended up with two. Justin now Ch. Idover Just In Time and Sprite. Justin was the beginning of my show addiction. I showed Justin for a year only getting one point on this boy. Kim White took over as I knew it was my performance and not Justin's that was the cause of his lack of success. Kim had the experience, confidence and ability that Justin needed to do well. Kim finished Justin within a year and took him to 23rd in breed in 2002. In the first 5 years of Kimera Kim and I had a lot of successes. Much of my breeding program has been based on what I feel is Kim's knack of interpreting pedigrees and 'knowing' what might work. Recently we have decided to branch off into separate entities. I feel strongly about doing what is right for my dogs and for those associating with my dogs. Dogs are our co-pilots sometimes I think even the pilots. Basically I am a whippet/dog geeks and love it. I also have been doing alot more rescue of sighthound mixes and other oddities that come my way.
